Appendix A: Installing the AWS Certificate to Windows

Download the AWS .pem certificate from https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-download-ssl-certificate-for-managed-database

Open

Open the Microsoft Management Console (MMC).

Press the Windows key + R

Type MMC > OK

Open

Go to File > Add/Remove Snap-in

Click Certificate > Add

Select Computer Account > Next

Select Local Computer > Finish

Click OK to return to the MMC window

Select Certificates (Local Computer) to expand the view

Select Trusted Root Certification Authorities, right-click Certificates> All Tasks > Import

Select Next > browse to the rootSSL.pem file that was downloaded > Next

Select Place all certificates in the following store > Select the Third-Party Root Certification Authorities >Next > Finish
